Worcester – Theresa M. (Bourque) Saulnier, 85, of Worcester, died peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, September 3rd in her home.
Mrs. Saulnier is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Frank J. Saulnier; a son, Gerry Saulnier and his wife Debbie of Worcester; four daughters, Annette Frissora of Worcester, Diane Reilly and her husband Frank of Charlton, Cathy Saulnier and her fiancé S. George of Worcester and Doreen Saulnier and her fiancé D. Gossler of Worcester; 4 brothers, William Bourque of Worcester, Charlie Bourque of Haverhill, Gerry Bourque of Florida and Roger Bourque of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada; a sister, Alice Fontaine of Haverhill; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
Theresa was born in Amesbury, MA daughter of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Arsenault) Bourque and is predeceased by a son in law, Edward Frissora as well as her siblings, Delphine Gauvin, Benny Bourque, Joe Bourque, Marie Bourque, Maryann Bourque and Eva Dallaire.
She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto Church and previously belonged to Holy Name of Jesus Church where she volunteered for many years at bingo.
Mrs. Saulnier enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, crocheting and knitting. She also enjoyed taking trips to both Atlantic City and Twin Rivers Casino. However, most of all Theresa was a devoted wife and mother to her family and was most happy when she was spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Friday, September 6th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street with a mass at 10:30 AM in Our Lady of Loreto Church 33 Massasoit Road. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home on Thursday, September 5th. Memorial contributions in memory of Theresa may be made to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701.
