Patricia M. (Daley) McKeon, 87, of Paxton, formerly of Worcester, died September 4, 2013 after a short illness at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband, James who died in 1967 and her son, Timothy in 1983. She leaves three daughters, Mary A. Blanchard and her husband, Howard of Westminster, Patricia A. McKeon-Johnson and her husband, Mark of Paxton, and Ellen B. McKeon-Levine and her husband, Seth of Natick; and her son James P. McKeon of Peabody. She also leaves eight grandchildren, Kathy Arias, Kenia and Clifford McKeon, Rachel, James and Gabriella Levine, and Eva and Julia Johnson; her sister Sheila Falvey and her husband, John of Hingham, a brother-in-law Edward McKeon and his wife, Mary of Worcester and two sisters-in-law, Ellen Blanchard of Paxton and Elizabeth McKeon of West Boylston and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Patricia was born in Worcester and was the daughter of Patrick and Bridget (Clifford) Daley. She was a graduate of Ascension High School, Worcester State College, and received her Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science from Simmons College. Patricia worked for 25 years as a librarian in the Worcester School System primarily at West Tatnuck Elementary School and South High School.
Patricia enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader throughout her life and especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends.
Her funeral is Saturday, September 7th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester, with her funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street, Worcester. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Friday, September 6th from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
