Robert G. Pettey, 73, of Westport died Thursday, August 29, 2013 at Sacred Heart Home, New Bedford. He was husband of Cynthia (Law) Pettey. Born in Fall River, he was son of the late Herbert and Gladys (Comstock) Pettey. Mr. Pettey was the co-owner of Primetax Plus of Westport. Bob was a Cranky Yankee.
Including his wife, survivors include a son: Andrew J. Pettey of Fall River; a daughter: Kimberly Brum of Fall River; 2 step-sons: Bradford A. Boudakian of Westport and David P. Strong of Jackson, NJ; a step-daughter: Betsy A. Couto of Westport; 2 sisters: Viola P. Gay of Westport and Mary L. Denwood of N. Dartmouth; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews; and his dear friend Bill Watson.
He was step-father of the late Ellen Baasch.
Memorial service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the Westport Point United Methodist Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
