Barbara (Dilworth) Saragosa, of Medford, died peacefully Saturday evening at the Lighthouse Nursing Care Center. She was 80.
Born in Cambridge, Barbara lived most of her life in Medford. She was a devoted and loving woman who cared very much for her family. She worked for many years at the Medford Bank, before her retirement.
The beloved wife of the late Domenic Saragosa, who passed away in 2004, she was a devoted mother to Kenneth Smith and his wife Suzanne of Woburn, Kevin Smith and his wife Robin of Lowell, Donna Solar and her husband Robert of Medford, Paul Smith and the late Timothy Smith. She was a beloved aunt to Cindy Stavropolous and her husband James of Wilmington, Kristine Lowe-Simpson of Acton as well as many other nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Friday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home, Thursday 4 – 8 PM.
