LEICESTER: Paula M. (Mancini) Murdock, 55, of Chapel Street, died Thursday, Aug. 29 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester surrounded by her loving family.
She leaves her husband of 26 years, Richard M. Murdock, her beloved son Brenden T. Murdock of Leicester, her parents Rudolph R. and Pauline M. (Walczak) Mancini, Sr. of Leicester, a brother Rudolph R. Mancini, Jr. of Leominster and several nieces and nephews.
Paula was born in Worcester. She graduated from Leicester High School and then attended Becker College and Westfield State College and later the Salter School in Worcester. She worked for 25 years at the former Wrightline Co. in Worcester and then at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester for the past 2 years as a medical coder. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Parish. She enjoyed reading, going to the beach, hiking, traveling and doing crafts. She was a volunteer for several years at Treasure Valley for their annual spook-o-ree and also at the recycle center in Leicester. She cherished being a mother and enjoyed every moment spent with her son Brenden.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Sept. 3 with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 759 Main Street, Leicester. Those attending are asked to go directly to church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mohegan Council, BSA, 19 Harvard St., Worcester, MA 01609.
