Obituary

Ernest Penta died peacefully at his home in Medford on Thursday, August 29. Born and raised in Boston's North End and Medford the son of the late Angelo and Celeste (Petitti) Penta, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Ernest worked as an Inspector for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and was a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts.

He was the beloved husband of Esther (LoPilato) Penta, devoted father of Ernest Henry Penta of Acton, and devoted step-father of Paul Scopa of Medford. He was the loving brother of the late Michael, Alfonso, Henry and Connie Penta, Raffie Gaeta and Flora Ventola. He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and other family members.

A funeral will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Monday 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
