CELIA (MARINI) PIZZELLA, of Hingham, passed away on July 18th, 2013 at the age of 88. Wife of the late Albert Gregory Pizzella for 64 years. Mother of Dorothy J. Pizzella of Brookline, Patricia P. Emerson of Dallas, Texas, Richard D. Pizzella of Wrentham and Stephen J. Pizzella of Nevada City, CA. Brother of Daniel Marini and sister of the late Dorothy Riloff. Also survived by 7 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A native of Quincy, Celia was born on February 25, 1925 to Seraphini and Dorothy (Anderson) Marini. She graduated from Quincy High School in 1942 and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during WW II.
Celia had a 30 year secretarial career with Carnation Foods among other companies. She enjoyed cooking, travel and was an avid reader of literature and history.
Funeral services will be private. On Saturday, August 31, 2013 family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering in Celia's honor at the Pizzella home at 4 Anderson Rd., Hingham, MA from Noon to 3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Celia's memory to the Friends of Wrentham, P.O. Box 865, Wrentham, MA 02093.
