Willie H. Paul, 83, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, August 31, 2013, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla with the Rev. Huey Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Ocilla Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Friday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mr. Paul was born April 7, 1930, in Irwin County, Georgia to the late James Samuel and Bessie Taylor Paul. He was a 20-year employee of the City of Ocilla and retired as assistant road superintendent for Irwin County, having worked for 38 years. He was a member of Pine Hill Baptist Church. He was a hard worker who loved his family. He enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Margaret Paul of Irwin County; daughter: Ann Paul Justice & Garry of Fitzgerald; son: Charles W. Paul & Karen of Irwin County; three grandchildren: Stacy & Shawn Watson, Tracey & Dwight Hine, and Beth & Jacob Jordan; and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
