Augusta, GA---Timothy J. Morris entered into rest early Thursday morning, August 15, 2013.
The First United Pentecostal Church, 1929 Fenwick Street, wishes to honor him with a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm on Friday, August 30, 2013, for his family and friends.
Born in Lake City, NJ, Tim spent a good majority of his life in Augusta, moving to California in 1986 where he settled in Galt, and returned to Augusta in 2010. His faith was of great importance and as such was ordained minister in 1998 and was fervently involved with many youth groups, charities and missionary work in Turkey, Africa and many other countries.
He was preceded in death by his late wife, Judy Morris and his late parents, Lt. Colonel James E. and Marjorie Morris.
He is survived by his sister Sheri of Augusta, GA; his daughters Heather Garner with husband Richard, Amanda Owens with husband Gary, both of Grovetown, GA; his sister-in-law Kim Lyons of Galt, CA; two grandchildren, a great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
The family extends their most profound gratitude, respect and genuine love to Veda Wilkerson of Augusta, GA who lovingly nursed and cared for him throughout his daily life and struggle with Alzheimer’s until his passing.
Interment will be next to his late wife, in California, at a later date.
