Fall River – Gunnar K. Ragnaldsen, 52, of Rock Street, Westport died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 5, 2004, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Gerd R. (Marcussen) Ragnaldsen.
Mr. Ragnaldsen was born in Brooklyn, New York, son of Karen (Andersen) Ragnaldsen of Dartmouth and the late Gunnar Ragnaldsen, and had resided in Westport for the past 25 years. He served his country in the Merchant Marines and was a manager for 20 years for Duro Textile in Fall River. He was a member of the National Riflemans Association.
In addition to his widow and mother, he is survived by a son: Leif K. Ragnaldsen of Poller, GA; a daughter: Ruth K. Ragnaldsen of Westport; a sister: Gail K. Devlin of Dartmouth; 2 aunts; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, September 9, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at the Potter Funeral Home, 81 Reed Road, Westport.
At the request of the family calling hours are omitted.
Interment will be private, at the convenience of the family.
