New Bedford – Dorothy McGehee, age 81, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert McGehee. She was born in New Bedford the daughter of the late Emily (Santos) and the late Francisco Paim. Dorothy lived in this area all her life; she worked as a cook for Coastline Elderly.
Her survivors include her daughters: Sharon Alford of New Bedford, Kim Bishop wife of Maddie of Woonsocket, RI, Roxanne Cabral wife of Blaise of New Bedford and JoAnne McGehee fiancee of Antonio Medeiros of New Bedford ; brothers: Richard and Albert Paim both of CA, 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was predeceased by her daughter Pamela Jean Clarkston; brother Donald Paim and her longtime companion Paul Avila.
Mrs. McGehee’s visiting hours will be Thursday, August 22nd from 5-7P.M. at the Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. Relegious service will take place at 5:30P.M during visiting hours. In accordance with her wishes, Dorothy will be cremated.
