Obituary

Margaret A. ”Peggy” Sproul, 59, of Brockton, formerly of East Bridgewater, passed away surrounded by her family on Friday August 16th at the St Joseph Manor, in Brockton, after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Brockton, daughter of the late Russell and Maida (Stansfield) Sproul,Sr. Peggy had been an East Bridgewater resident for most of her life.She was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School and received her associates degree in accounting at Massasoit Community College.

Peggy was a member of First Parish Congregational Church in Brockton in her early years and a very active member of Union Congregational Church in East Bridgewater, where she was the assistant treasurer for several years.

She worked for Etonic Shoe Company and then at Good Samaritan Medical Center in the accounting department for 24 years.

Peggy is survived by her brother, Russell E. Sproul, Jr. and his wife Hope of East Bridgewater, her sisters, Nancy Cantor of NH, Sue Reti and her husband Charles of MI; also her nieces and nephews, Russell III, Justin and Renee Sproul, Philip Cantor and his wife Cari, Amy May and her husband Stephen and Nathaniel Reti.

Her services will be held on Wednesday August 21st at 11:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(Rte 58 @ the rotary circle) Whitman. Interment will follow in the Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 20th from 5:00-8:00PM.
