Joyce L. Meade was born January 11, 1938 in Ventura to Albert Lowes and Elsie Mixon. Joyce passed away August 17, 2013 from a massive stroke.
She graduated Ventura High in 1955. She was a beautician at Blazing Scissors for 30 years.
Joyce is survived by her beloved husband Bill Meade. They were happily married for 58 years. She was a wonderful mother to her four children, son Bill Jr. and his wife Cheryl, Larry, Mike, and daughter Penny. Joyce had 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister Carol and Janette and preceded in death by her brother Wayne, sister Jeanne, daughter-in-law Pamela Meade, and grandson Christopher Petropulos. She was a loving and giving wife, mom, grandmother and friend. Joyce enjoyed traveling, going to Vegas to play video poker, and going to The Elks every Monday night to play Bingo.
Family and Friends are invited to visiting hours Friday August 23 from 3 to 5pm at Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home 757 E. Main Street Ventura. Funeral Services will be held Saturday August 24, 2013 at 10AM in the Funeral Home, interment will follow in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
