Raymond Minichiello, age 96, a native of Revere, MA, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2013 in Las Vegas, NV. He was an alumnus of Tufts University and served in the Navy. He was an avid radio communication enthusiast. He is known for his several contributions to this field. He was the founder of Guglielmo Marconi Foundation /Museum USA. As an electrical engineer he was involved in the V-2 Rockets Guided Missiles Project at White Sands Proving Ground in Las Cruces, NM. He is survived by his longtime caring partner, Priscilla Cusi, MD of North Las Vegas, NV, former wife Virginia Minichiello of Lynnfield, MA, son Peter Minichiello of New York , NY, daughter Paula Granofsky and husband Mark of Dover, MA, daughter Anita Wos and husband Leonard of Shrewsbury, MA, daughter Lisa Folsom and husband Robert of Newton, NH, grandchildren, Adam and Burton Granofsky, Sarah Toce, Frederick Sieg, and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony. There will be a celebration of his life on August 23, 2013, 10 AM, at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home, 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow shortly thereafter at St Michael's Cemetery in the family plot with his parents Maria Antonia and Filippo Minichiello.
