Lucille E. (Pelletier) Miaskiewicz, 93 of Salem, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was the wife of the late Edmund F. Miaskiewcz.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Francois X. and Marie L. (Tardiff) Pelletier. As a young woman she worked for the former CBS Hytron of Salem and later for Sylvania in production. Lucille retired from GTE Sylvania in 1981. She was a member of the GTE Retiree’s Club, and was a member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Miaskiewicz and his wife Donna of Kissimmee, FL,
Frank Miaskiewicz of Georgetown, a daughter, Joan C. Quinlan of Peabody, a sister Jeannette Plourde of Salem, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two grandchildren, David Quinlan and Lee Ann Maiskiewicz and was one of nineteen siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem. A committal service will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
