Salvatore J. “Sammy” Spinale, 81 of Medford, died Sunday after a long illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Medford, MA.
Born in Boston, he lived in Medford for the past 48 years and was formerly of the West End of Boston. Salvatore was a General Contractor for many years and retired in 1995.
Beloved husband of Anna (Salamone) Spinale. Devoted father of Kathleen Antonetti and her husband Joseph of Medford, Domenic Spinale and his wife Michele of NH, Salvatore Spinale and his wife Sandra of Billerica, Toni Marie Spinale and her companion Mark Stevens of Saugus, Joseph Spinale and his wife Diane of Tewksbury, Frank Spinale of NH and Dan Spinale of Medford. Also survived by 11 loving grandchildren and 2 loving great grandchildren. Cherished son of the late Mary (LaPorta) and Domenic Spinale. Brother of Frank Spinale, Josephine Gallant both of Medford, Patricia Cappello of Boston, Domenic Spinale of Salem and the late Angelina Capano, Joseph “Skinny” and Anthony “Okie” Spinale.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family on Friday from 8 through 10:30AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
