Mr. Erich G. Brouady, a resident of Andover for more than 37 years died suddenly at Maplewood Place Assisted Living in Malden on Monday, August 5, 2013. He was 75 years old.
Born in Austria on June 2, 1938, he was the beloved son of the late James and Annie Brouady. Mr. Brouady was a graduate of Limestone High School in Maine and Ricker College in Holton, Maine. He was a History Teacher for several years in Maine and Massachusetts. He also worked for the Rotary Machine & Tool Company in Ballardvale and as an Insurance Adjuster. Ending his working career, Erich was a House Painter for 25 years. In his spare time, Erich enjoyed traveling with his son, Christopher and was his baseball coach. Mr. Brouady was also very active in Boy Scout Troop # 76 in Andover. Mr. Brouady had the fortune to live in Michigan, Texas, Maine and Massachusetts while his father served as a cook in the Army. He also loved his cats Booboo and Jumper. Mr. Brouady especially loved watching his granddaughters perform their cartwheels.
He will be very sorely missed by his loving son and daughter-in-law; Christopher E. and his wife Karen D. Brouady of Burlington and two granddaughters; Hannah and Amanda Brouady, both of Burlington.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover, Friday, August 9, 2013, at 10 AM. Calling hours were held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Thursday, August 8, 2013, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment was private.
