Ann M. (Cilley) Martin, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life suddenly on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was 73 years old.
Ann was born in Boston on February 3, 1940, a daughter of the late Joseph V. Crilley and Mary E. (Hederson) Crilley. Ann grew up in Charlestown where she attended the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School. Ann worked as a bank teller for several banks in the Charlestown area. She was a homemaker who cared for her husband and children and took great pride in her grandchildren.
Ann is the beloved and devoted wife of 50 years to retired Boston Firefighter Leo Martin. She is the devoted mother of Jack Martin and his wife Anne, Tom Martin and his wife Una, Dan Martin and Annmarie D'Angelo and her husband Jon. She is the loving Nana to Haley, Joseph, Hannah and Matthew. She is the beloved sister of Tom Crilley and the late Joseph Crilley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ann's Funeral on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. Visiting hours will be on Friday, August 9, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the funeral home.
