Obituary

Helen (Carapezza) Breda, a long-time Medford resident, died August 24 in the Life Care Center Of Stoneham. She was 84.

Mrs. Breda was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Leonard and the late Clara (Guiffre) Carapezza. As a young woman she, with her family, settled in the Wellington neighborhood of Medford, where her father operated the Pearl Baking Company for many years.

Helen was a dedicated wife and mother, who took great pride in raising her children. She shared 56 years of marriage with her late husband George, who owned Highland Auto Body.

As her children reached adulthood, Helen began a 15-year career in sales with the former Jordan Marsh Company, in Boston.

Besides her late husband, George Breda, Helen leaves three daughters, Helen Breda Dines and her husband Graham of England, Alice J. Breda of Medford and Claire Penta of Peabody.She is also survived by her loving granddaughters, Claire Pantazi, Susan Ternullo, Linda Penta and four great grandchildren, Michael and Andrea Ternullo, Nicholas and Benjamin Pentazi.She was the sister of Frances Polini of FL, Rose Scibelli of CA, William Carapezza of FL, the late Salvatore and John Carapezza

Friends and family may visit Wednesday, Sept. 8, 5 – 9PM, at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, Thursday September 9, at 10 AM.

Entombment will follow at the family mausoleum in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
