Normand A. Boucher, 82, of Avenue C, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at RI Hospital. He was the husband of Muriel (Poisson) Boucher. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Wilbrod and Florida (Mayer) Boucher. Normand worked for Star Market for thirty nine years in various positions, retiring in 1987 as the Dairy Manager. He enjoyed spending time in his garage and tinkering with small engines.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Roger Boucher and his wife Patricia of Chepachet, Wayne Boucher and his wife Debra of Woonsocket, three daughters Georgette McNealy and her husband Russell of FL, Aline Raymond and her husband Glenn and Debra Boucher all of Woonsocket, two sisters Rachel Girard of Woonsocket, and Claire Marquis of NH, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was also the brother of the late Gerard and Richard Boucher, Madeleine Robin and Lucille Therien.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM in Holy Family Church, South Main St. Woonsocket. Family will receive guests at church beginning at 9:30AM. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home.
