Worcester – Rachel (Berquez) Plamondon, 92, of Worcester, died on Wednesday, July 31st in Saint Vincent Hospital with her family by her side.
Mrs. Plamondon’s husband of 57 years, Arthur J. Plamondon died in 2003. She is survived by her two sons; Bruce A. Plamondon and Ronald P. Plamondon, both of Worcester; 2 grandchildren, Bryan B. and Keith A. Plamondon and many nephews and nieces.
Rachel was born in France daughter of the late Felix and Florence Berquez and is also predeceased by a daughter Danielle B. Plamondon who died in 1963 and 2 sisters.
Mrs. Plamondon was a member of Holy Family Parish and worked for the former Guaranty Bank and Bank of New England in their operations center for 20 years and later worked for the South Worcester Neighborhood Center as an Elderly Outreach Worker for 15 years.
She enjoyed many things, however, some of her favorite things were, cooking, sewing, gardening knitting and most of all spending time with her grandchildren
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 5th at 10 AM in St. Joseph’s Church 35 Hamilton St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Rachel may be made to Saint Jude’s Children Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Disabled American Veterans PO Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250.
