Albert L. Cavalieri, 91, of Danvers and Wolfeboro, NH, formerly of Topsfield, passed away on July 29, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of Anna (Clune) Cavalieri with whom he shared 62 years of marriage.
Born on November 11, 1921 in Marlborough, CT, he was the son of the late Virginio and Maddalena (Sguazier) Cavalieri. He graduated from high school in New Britain CT where he was captain of the football team. He served our country with the United States Navy during WWII during which time he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State College. He was honorably discharged and went on to serve with the Navy as a Reservist for ten years. Albert had been employed as a mechanical engineer at General Electric in Lynn for 38 years.
Besides his wife Anna, he is survived by six children, Lawrence Cavalieri of Newburyport, Cathleen Marusak (James) of RI, Nancy Cavalieri of NH, Robert Cavalieri of NH, Michael Cavalieri (Beth) of NH and Lisa Cavalieri of Ipswich, eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Julia and Tony Cavalieri, Daniel and Michael Marusak, Christopher and Alex Cavalieri and Stephen Blake. He was predeceased by his siblings, John and Renaldo Cavalieri, Olive Hogblom and Lena Ostafin.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Saturday, August 3, 2013 in St. Rose of Lima Church, Park St., Topsfield. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Haverhill Rd, Topsfield. Visiting hours are Friday from 5-8PM at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
