BRIDGEWATER - Shirlee Ann (Shruhan) Dacey, 69, of Bridgewater, formerly of Easton and Brockton, died unexpectedly Monday at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center. She was the wife of the late John R. “Jack” Dacey.
Born March 25, 1935, in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (Richardson) Shruhan.
Mrs. Dacey grew up in West Roxbury and graduated from Roslindale High School.
She had been a resident of Bridgewater for the past four years, coming from Easton and Brockton.
Mrs. Dacey worked in the central processing department at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton and in the cafeteria Brockton High School. She formerly worked for Kings Department Store in Brockton.
Mrs. Dacey enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Denise Belanger and Renee Beal, both of Brockton, Corinne Cartwright, Janine Harrison and Patrick Dacey, all of Bridgewater; 11 grandchildren; her siblings, Jerry, Don, Jackie, Kenny and Eddie Shruhan and Beverlee Smith and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Patty Huffum.
Her funeral will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, followed by a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater.
Visiting hours will be held in funeral home 2-4 and 7-9 Friday evening.
