Obituary

Calvin J. Reid, 89, died unexpectedly in Maine on Friday, July 26, 2013. He was the loving husband of the late Mary (White) Reid, who predeceased him in 1994.
Born in Somerville on July 10, 1924, he was the son of the late Albert and Delilah (Legge) Reid. He was raised and educated in Somerville and served honorably in the U.S. Army during WWII. A resident of Arlington for many years, Mr. Reid had been a Danvers resident for more than forty years.
Since 1998 Mr. Reid has owned and operated Label Haus Inc. A leader and innovator in the label industry for more than fifty years, he launched, sold, and purchased many label converting companies including ScreenPrint, Label Craft, and Reid Graphics.
A faithful member of the former Calvary Episcopal Church, Mr. Reid was a proud member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts.
He is survived by a brother, David Reid of Illinois, his sisters-in-law, Barbara Calnan, Dorothy Adams, and Gladys Goss, and many loving nieces and nephews. He also leaves his dear friend and business associate, John McNally. He was predeceased by his siblings Lloyd, Lawrence, Reginald, and Winston Reid and May Bolis.
His Funeral Service will be Friday, August 2, 2013 at 10AM in All Saints Episcopal Church, corner of Holten & Cherry Sts., Danvers. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Visiting hours are
Thursday from 4-7PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 393, Danvers, MA 01923.
