Ruth M. (Turner) Duhy, a 54 year resident of Wakefield, entered into eternal life on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at her home in Wakefield following an extended illness. She was 95 years old.
Ruth was born in Reading on February 19, 1918, a daughter of the late Thomas Turner and Della (White) Turner. She grew up in Malden and was educated in the Malden Public School system and graduated from Malden High School in 1936. Ruth worked several small jobs before becoming a homemaker and caring for her husband and son.
Ruth is the beloved wife of the late Harvey A. "Al" Duhy. She is the devoted and loving mother of the late Harvey A. Duhy Jr. (U.S.M.C. Killed in action in 1969, Republic of Vietnam.)She is the Loving and dedicated aunt to Muriel Campbell of Wakefield, Jack and Fred McHale, and great-aunt to Shannon Barrows and Katelyn Boghos and great-great-aunt to Madison, Ryan and Joshua.
At Ruth's request her Funeral Services and burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody will be private.
