Obituary

Edward W. Burbank, Sr. age 57, of Raynham, formerly of Taunton and Norton, died peacefully, July 25, 2013. Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Richard E. and Elaine (Lyon) Burbank. Following his graduation from Brockton High School in 1974, he enlisted in the Air Force and achieved the ranking of Staff Sergeant — he was honorably discharged in 1984. Ultimately achieving his life goal of becoming a Police Officer, he was employed with the town of Norton for over ten years. Ed had several passions in life including: competitive games & puzzles, golf, cooking & baking, and especially tinkering. His greatest pride and joy was his three sons and the men they have become.

Ed is survived by three sons: Edward Jr. and his wife Patricia of North Easton, Richard and his wife Gina of Brockton and Christopher of Taunton; a brother Jimmy Burbank and his wife Joanne of Attleboro, a sister Ann Curtis of Raynham, his former wife and friend Regina Harris-Burbank of Taunton and best friend Kevin. He is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Tuesday 10:30am-12:30pm followed by a funeral service at 12:30pm. Burial will be in Massachusetts National Cemetery.
