NATICK: Raffaele Sansossio, age 73, a longtime Natick resident, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, at Saint Patrick’s Manor in Framingham after a long illness. He was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Born and raised in Lacedonia, Italy, he was a son of the late Ciro and Giuseppina (Bianco) Sansossio. Raffaele originally immigrated to the United States in 1975 to Natick where he began his family.
Raffaele was employed as a bodyman for many years with Subaru of Natick. In 1991, he decided to change paths and became a custodian with the Wayland School District. He concurrently worked in the same capacity at Regis College until his health related retirement in 2000.
He is survived his daughter, Nadia J. Bender and her husband Robert of Northbridge; his son, Ciro R. Sansossio of Natick; two grandchildren, Matthew and James; a brother, Filippo Sansossio and his wife Christina of Natick; and his siblings Antonio and Michele Sansossio, and Maddalena Lombardi, and the late Giuseppe, all of Switzerland.
His funeral will be held at John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common, Natick, on Tuesday, July 30th at 9:00a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick, at 10:00a.m. Burial will follow at Saint Patrick Cemetery.
