Jeanne Marie “Jackie” Poisson, formerly Jacqueline Marie Helene Poisson, 82, of Manchester died July 20, 2013 at St. Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a period of declining health.
She was born in Newton, MA on February 20, 1931, the daughter of Hormisdas and Elizabeth (Paradis) Poisson.
Jeanne had formerly been a member of the Passionist Nuns in Pittsburgh, PA for 38 years.
Prior to retirement, she had worked at the Geisel Library at Saint Anselm College.
Jackie’s family and friends would like to thank the staff at St. Teresa’s for the wonderful care they provided during her stay.
Family members include her siblings, Lorraine Haller and Frank Poisson, both of AZ, Robert Poisson of MA, Carol Cech of CO, Richard and Ronald Poisson, both of CA; many nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was predeceased by four siblings, Joseph Poisson, Jean Paul Poisson, Edward Poisson and Theodore Poisson.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Friday, July 26, 2013 in St. Anselm College Abbey Church. Burial followed in Last Rest Cemetery, Merrimack.
