Obituary

Mary J. (Carpenter) Sukiennik joined her beloved husband, Walter and met her Savior, Jesus Christ in Heaven on Sunday, July 21, 2013. Mary was born in Birmingham, England, to Albert and Nellie Carpenter on September 27, 1927. She emigrated with her husband Walter to the United States after WWII. Mary was a contributing member of the Red Cross and an active and contributing member of the Cosmopolitan Club, an organization promoting British values. Her smile, friendliness and good will to all she met, made her popular in her community of Bloomfield, New Jersey. She was an entrepreneur and started a successful Women’s clothing store, “The Hay Rack” in upper Montclair, New Jersey. She was a devoted wife and mother and leaves behind her son; Andrew, daughter-in-law; Margaret and grandchildren; Christopher, Michael, Mark and Aliona, all of whom will miss her very much.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 9:30 AM. Visitation was held at the church, prior to the mass, from 9 to 9:30 AM. Many relatives and friends were in attendance. Interment was held in West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover.
