CASHMAN Thomas F. Jr. (Retired Detective BPD) of West Roxbury originally from Jamaica Plain, July 21, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Teresa T. Cashman. Devoted father of Thomas R. Cashman and his wife Louise of Dedham, David J. Cashman and his wife Rosemary of Charlotte, North Carolina, Ann E. Rosa and her husband John of Burlington, and Patricia Walter and her husband Joseph of Waltham. Loving “Grampy” to Tommy, Stephen, Brian, Chris, Elizabeth, Kathleen, John, Michael, Catherine, James, and Jack. Brother of Robert Cashman of Dennis and the late James, John, William, Anna, Catherine and Richard Cashman. Also survived by one great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. Tom proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a 32-year veteran of the Boston Police. He was also married for 58 wonderful years to the love of his life “Tre”. He was a member of the Elks and American Legion. An avid golfer, Tom enjoyed spending winters in Florida. His amazing memory and sense of humor made him a wonderful storyteller, and brought many laughs to those who knew him. He was a warm and caring son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend and he will be missed by all. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home 2055 Centre St. WEST ROXBURY on Friday July 26th. at 9am. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Basilica of Our lady of Perpetual Help (Mission Church) at 10 o’clock.
