In Taunton, July 21, 2013 Richard Washburn, age 82, passed away at home suddenly. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Young) Washburn. Richard was born in Middleboro, the son of the late Irving & Ester (Littlefield) Washburn. Richard has resided in Taunton since 1977 and was formerly of Middleboro. He worked as a carpenter and people say he could fix anything. He enjoyed visiting family in NH, dining out, but above all cherished his time with family. Richard leaves his children Pamela Dunbar and her husband Robert of Worcester, Deborah Wirth and her husband David of Taunton and Richard Washburn of Taunton. His grandchildren Marty Washburn, Kevin Wirth, Jonathan Wirth, Sherica Wirth, Steven Dunbar, Andrew Dunbar, Eric Washburn and Apryl Washburn and his great grandson David E. Wirth. He also leaves his brother Leonard Washburn of Gilsom, NH and the late Philip, Robert and Milton Washburn. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Thursday, July 25th at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours prior to the service from 9-11 am. Burial in the family lot in Mayflower Hill Cemetery in Taunton.
