Janie M. (Brown) Homer, 81, of Mattapoisett died March 12, 2002 unexpectedly at Tobey Hospital.
She was the wife of the late Aloyius F. Homer and daughter of the late Arthur L. and Georgina B. (Hiltz) Brown.
Born in Harmony, Nova Scotia, Mrs. Homer lived in Needham and Natick before moving to Mattapoisett in 1980. She spent many winters in Sebastian, Florida.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairhaven.
Mrs. Homer enjoyed knitting, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include 2 sons, Charles F. Homer of Fall River and James M. Homer of Franklin; a daughter, Allison J. Knight of Rochester; a brother, Dawson Brown of Stuart, Fla.; a sister, Hilda Dibbern of Tampa, Fla.; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was the sister of the late Lawrence Brown, Greta Erz, Kenneth Brown and Myrtle Sherman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Trinity Lutheran Church, 16 Temple Place, Fairhaven, Friday, March 15th at 11 AM.
Visiting hours at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Thursday, March 14th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
Interment Cushing Cemetery.
