TEWKSBURY - Jean M. (Dryden-Wallace) DeFilippo, age 81, a resident of the Flucker Heights senior housing complex, died peacefully on Sunday night, July 21, at the Wilmington Health Care Center, with her beloved husband at her side. She had celebrated a 30th wedding anniversary with her husband, Arthur E. “Bunny” DeFilippo on February 12.
Jean was born in Somerville, June 23, 1932, one of twelve children of the late Floyd and Alice (Campbell) Dryden. She lived the greater part of her life in Somerville, and moved to Tewksbury in 1980.
She was a communicant of St. William’s Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Sean and his wife Suzanne Wallace of Plaistow, NH; five daughters, Patricia Wallace of CA, Debra Hobbs of Saugus, Catherine Riendeau of Saugus, Teresa Wallace of Fl, and Kelly Ann Wallace of Woburn; two brothers, Ronald Dryden of Andover, David Dryden of FL; four sisters, Dorothy Murphy of Billerica, Gloria Fitzgerald of NC, Gail Bramanet of Stoneham, Jo Ann Pinto of NH; eleven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren.
She was also mother of the late Daniel Wallace, and infant sons Michael Sean, Eugene, and Charles who all died at birth.
At her request, funeral services were private. Memorials to the American Heart Assn., 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 will be appreciated.
