Albert Franklin ‘Al’ Smith, 64, of Pond Ct., passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 in his home. He leaves his wife of 35 years Janet A. (Dyffryn) Smith his mother, Elizabeth (Pierce) Smith of Upton, 3 daughters; Crystal E. Smith of Webster, Caitlyn M. Smith of Worcester, and Catryna L. Smith of Webster, 3 brothers, Michael of Upton, Christopher of Blackstone, and Jeffrey of TX., 2 sisters; Althea Greene of Douglas and Betty Carroll of TX. , 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Amesbury son of the late Clyde Smith and lived in Sutton for 25 years before moving to Webster 3 years ago.
Al worked as a boiler technician for Guerney Engineering Co. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and served in the U. S. Navy.
There are no calling hours.
A Celebration of Al’s Life will be Sunday, July 28, 2013 from 12PM to 4 PM at the Upton V.F.W. post (Route 140) in Upton, Al’s family would like to see all of his friends and family at that time to share a few memories.
The ROBERT J.MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St., is assisting Al’s family with arrangements.
