Lee A. Marcinuk, 83, of Methuen, MA, died Saturday, July 20th, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, MA, after a long illness. She was married for 64 years to Henry S. Marcinuk. Lee was born in Lawrence in 1929 and was the proud daughter of Majid and Mahabi Khoury. She spent her youth on Valley Street in Lawrence, MA.
She is survived by her husband Henry S. Marcinuk, three sons: Wayne and his wife Jin Kim of Grafton, MA, Cory of Methuen, MA and Glenn and his wife Denise of North Andover, MA. She is also survived by two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her brothers Charles Khoury of Palm Coast, FL, George Khoury of Falls Church, VA and William Khoury of Lawrence, MA as well as her sister, Anna T. Saab of Fremont, NH.
Lee was a graduate of Lawrence High's Class of 1947, where she was a cheerleader. She worked as a computer specialist at the State Welfare Office, Bon Secours Hospital and Lawrence High School. She was an active member of St. Anthony's Maronite Church in Lawrence, MA and received the prestigious Silver Massabki Award in 1994 from the Regional Bishop for her dedication and tireless work for the church she so much loved. Lee also loved to dance and cook and frequented the Methuen Senior Center where she will also be missed.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. in St. Anthony Maronite Church, 145 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
