Boston - Vivian E. (Bourgault) Santos, 73, of New Bedford passed away July 13, 2013 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She was the widow of Ernest "Pee Wee" "Hoppy" Santos.
Mrs. Santos was born in Marion, daughter of the late Paul and Grace E. (Gifford) Bourgault, and resided in New Bedford most of her life. She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Lunds Corner. She was formerly employed as a packer and bottler by Total Packaging. She enjoyed cooking, baking, jigsaw puzzles but most of all spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter: Lisa M. Mena and her husband Walter; 3 sons: Gilbert Santos and his wife Kim Lebert Santos, Ernest Santos, Jr. and his companion Tracy Jurgeliwicz and Russell P. Santos; a brother: Paul Bourgault, Jr.; 7 grandsons, who were her world: Brandon Santos, Jared Santos, Aaron Santos, Jordan Mena, Trevor Mena, Jacob Santos and Jayden Santos; and several nieces & nephews.
She was sister of the late Roseanna Fiene, Doris Mendez, Juliette Allard and Eugene Bourgault.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday, July 22, 2013, 6:00-7:30 P.M. followed immediately by funeral services at 7:30 P.M. at the Kirby Funeral Home.
Graveside service at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the Acushnet Cemetery, Acushnet.
