In Swansea, July 18, 2013 Alice Duhaime, age 84, passed away in Kindred Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, following a lengthy illness while surrounded by her loving family. Alice was preceded in death by her loving husband Leo G. Duhaime. Alice was born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Peter & Alice (Whittemore) Briody. She has resided in Taunton her entire life. Alice was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. She was employed as a sales clerk for the former Pober’s Department Store and Wollworth’s. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, knitting, crocheting, but above all cherished her time with family. Alice is survived by her children Deborah Simmons and her husband John of Taunton, Linda Guite of Rehoboth, Brian L. Duhaime and his wife Linda of Taunton, Mark E. Duhaime and his wife Jody of Swansea, Peter G. Duhaime and his wife Lori of Taunton and Scott P. Duhaime and his wife Kim of Portsmouth, RI. Alice also leaves her fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She also leaves her sister in law Elaine Briody of Taunton and her late siblings Mynette Dewhurst and John Briody. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Tuesday, July 23rd at 10 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Annunciation of the Lord Church in Taunton at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday from 5-7 pm. Burial will be in the family lot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Taunton. Donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
