Obituary

Thomas P. Maguire, 85, of Medway died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Medway Country Manor surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Rosalie (Pimental) Maguire for 48 years.

Born in Newton on March 3, 1928, he was the son of the late George E. and Maryellen (Kelley) Maguire.

Mr. Maguire was a resident of Medway for the past 48 years and formerly resided in Newton. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years and later in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and was a veteran of both WWII and the Korean War.

Before his retirement in 1998, Mr. Maguire worked for the city of Newton for 46 years. During his free time, he enjoyed flying remote control planes.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kelly Oldham and her husband Robert of Medway and Seanna Maguire of Holliston and four grandchildren, Joseph Thomas, Lauren, Jenna and Kara Oldham.

He is also survived by two brothers, Robert Maguire of Newton and Michael Maguire of Great Barrington and many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Margaret Fox, Eleanor Mahoney and George E. Maguire Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 151 Village St. in Medway on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 10 a.m. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.

Burial will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Assoc., 480 Pleasant St, Watertown, MA 02472.
