John Shuman McKinley, 84, of Rumford ME and formerly of Mystic CT, died Sunday, July 14, 2013 in Borger TX.
Mr. McKinley was born on December 13, 1928 in Maxwell NM, the son of Joe William and Emily Caroline (Shuman) McKinley. He married Barbara Moore on December 1, 1951 in Boston, MA.
He is predeceased by his parents, his wife Barbara McKinley, and a sister Dorothy Audrain.
Survivors include two sons; Gregory and wife Cynthia McKinley of Marietta GA and Burt and wife Diane McKinley of Stonington, CT; brother Joe McKinley of Alamogordo NM; two sisters Ruth and husband Waun Audrain of Fritch TX and Lois and husband Bill Brown of Ingleside TX; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Brown Chapel of The Fountains in Borger, TX.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 10:00am to 12:30pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic CT. Burial with full military honors will follow at 1:00pm at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic.
