Nancylee Abizaid-Robbins, age 66, died at home, Friday August 27, 2004, after a lengthy illness. Born in Everett, MA she was the daughter of the late Margurite (Cefalo) & Charles Abizaid. Nancy was a resident of Arlington for the last 10 years, formerly of Medford.
Nancylee was the owner of the Abizaid School of Dance which was located in Winchester, where she taught all kinds of dance for many years. At the age of 15 she would dance in the summers, during school summer break, with the Rockettes of Broadway. When she graduated High School she started traveling with the June Taylor Dancers of New York. She danced with the June Taylor´s until the age of 23. Nancylee was also a member of the Santa Monica (CA) Civic Ballet.
Nancylee is survived by her daughters Monica Grady of Methuen, and Margaret Robbins of Pacifica, CA. Her son John Robbins of Medford. Loving grandmother of Connor & Aiden Grady of Methuen, Marie & Charles Robbins of Medford and Amanda Weissman of Pacifica, CA. Sister of Helen Jerrier of Milton and the late John Abizaid. Loving Companion of Jack Holland of Arlington. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Monday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Nancylee´s name to the St. Jude Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
