Obituary

Lucie H. Potvin, 93, formerly of Privilege St., Woonsocket died Saturday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Theodore Potvin.
Born in St. Bartholomy, P.Q., Canada, she was a daughter of the late Adelard and Victoria (Farley) Malboeuf. She came to the United States in 1923 and remained a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Potvin was a longtime communicant of St. Louis Church (All Saints Parish) and was a member of the Waterview Tenants Association, St. Louis, St. Joseph, St. Agatha and Holy Family senior citizens clubs and the Golden Agers. Lucie was musically inclined and loved playing the organ and singing and she also enjoyed sewing.
She was the sister of the late Victor Malboeuf, Stephane Malboeuf and Alfred Malboeuf, Sr. Marie Stephanie P.M., Gertrude Gouin, Simone Glaude, Leo Malboeuf and Gustave Malboeuf. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Her funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 5-8 pm.
