Worcester - Margaret A. Brooks, 59, of Worcester, died on Saturday, July 13th in UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after an illness.
Marge is survived by her son, Robert L. Johnson Jr. of Worcester; two daughters, Lisa M. Johnson and Bobbie-Lynn Orjeula both of Kissimmee, FL; two brothers, Ralph Brooks of Slatersville, RI and Raymond Brooks of Leicester; seven sisters, Sheila Hanlon of Leicester, Dianne Brower of Worcester, Dorothy Turner of Worcester, Phyllis Falke of Worcester, Joanne Fisher of Danielson, CT, Debra Blouin of Dudley and Sandra Schnare of Worcester; an aunt, Dorothy Larkin of Worcester; an uncle, Wilfred Lamothe of San Jose, CA; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Ralph and Marie (Lamothe) Brooks and is also predeceased by a brother, Richard Brooks.
Marge was a hair stylist in Worcester, working with one of her closest and dearest friends, Glen Damato for over 20 years at his salon, Studio 1. Whether she was spending time with her family and friends, taking trips to the beach or being with her dog, “Bella” Marge was living life to it’s fullest potential every day and wanted everyone around her to do the same.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 18th at 12:30 PM in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street is directing arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League 139 Holden Street Worcester, MA 01606.
