Obituary

Helen L. (Russell) Stack, age 92, of Pocasset, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully, July 12, 2013 at Royal Cape Cod Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the love of her life, the late William E. Stack, Jr. They were wed for 67 years and were a true example of commitment to marriage and family. You could not see one without picturing the other. Helen was born in Marlboro, daughter of the late Everett and Beulah (Cheney) Russell. She was raised in East Bridgewater and was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School, class of 1938. For many years Helen had been a Secretary for the Brockton School Department. Following her retirement she had been a resident of both Falmouth, MA where she was an active member of the Art Guild, and Port Charlotte, FL. She enjoyed time spent with her family, was an avid reader and gardener, loved to bake, quilt, watch the red sox, play bridge and was a longtime member of the Red Hat Society.

Helen is survived by her children, Stephen Stack and his wife Joan of Brockton, William E. Stack, III of Braintree, Nora J. Tobin and her husband Thomas of Plymouth, Mary Stack and her husband Jim Milano of Yarmouth Port and daughter-in-law Donna Stack, wife of the late Timothy C. Stack; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, July 22, 2013 at 11:15am in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
