On July 7, 2013 we lost my husband, my soul mate and love of my life, our father and brother very suddenly; he passed away the morning of our 41st wedding anniversary.
Dean was born in Port Huron MI, and had a distinguished career as an officer in the Army. He was a graduate of West Point Military Academy, class of 1949 and served his country in the Korean war and other overseas locations. He retired in 1977 as Lieutenant Colonel and we made our home in Brockton in 1978.
Dean is a highly decorated officer and also held a Masters’ Degree in Electrical Engineering from Perdue University. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 65 years – Pine Grove Lodge in MI and St. George Lodge A.F.& A.M. in Brockton and also The Order of the Eastern Star for 32 years.
We will never forget him and cherish the time we had together as husband and wife, dear and very caring dad and brother.
His wife Barbara McCarron, his sons Douglas McCarron , CA; Daniel McCarron, PhD., IL., Dorian McCarron with his wife Michelle in Brockton and his sister Patricia Wilkison, CA.
All who knew him always said: Dean was truly an Officer and a Gentleman.
His ashes will be interred in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
