DAVID JOSEPH SMITH, 47, died suddenly, June 27, 2013, at his home in Toledo, Ohio where he had lived for the past several years. David was born and grew up in Hingham. He is survived by his mother, Janet Hersey Andrews of Hingham; and his older brother, Mark H. Smith of Toledo, OH. He was the son of the late Joseph J. Smith and brother of the late Roger A. Smith. David loved his Rottweiler dogs and had a small business raising them.
An outdoor memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 20th at 184 Hersey St., Hingham. In the event of rain the service will be held at New North Church, 1 Lincoln St., Hingham.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David's memory to North East Rottweiler Rescue and Referral (NERR&R), P.O. Box 501, Portsmouth, RI 02871. The interment will be private.
