Obituary

Grovetown – Mrs. Edythe Elizabeth Cooper, 93, entered into rest on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with the Rev. Bart Grey officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Cooper was a medical office manager for a surgeon in Fort Lauderdale, Florida prior to her retirement. She was a member of Woodman of the World Lodge #1571 in Martinez, as well as a member of the Senior Friends Organization (currently H2U). She was a volunteer at Doctors Hospital Burn Unit, and with the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation.

She is survived by her son, Robert Howard Cooper (Sherry), her daughter, Barbara Cooper Grant, her grandchildren, William Thomas Cooper III (Shonnie), Jason Todd Cooper (Kim), Jeffery Thomas Cooper, Troy Christian Milam (Angi) and Sonja Lee Williamson (Marc). She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Ashley Faircloth, Kelley Cooper, Chandler Cooper, Addison Cooper, Haley Milam and Macy Mayes, with a great great grandchild on her way, Cooper Faircloth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas Cooper Sr, her son, William Thomas Cooper Jr, and a granddaughter, Holly Jean Cooper.

Pallbearers will be Jim Brickner, Jack Eades, Jason Cooper, Jeff Cooper, Troy Milam, Marc Danner, Jeff Land and William Cooper III.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, July 14, 2013 from 1:00PM until the time of the service.
