Anna Kerr Massey
Anna Kerr Massey passed away on July 10, 2013 at home, in the tender hands of her husband, Bob Massey.
Anna was born in Airdrie, Scotland on August 4, 1939. During her childhood and teenage years, she excelled in ballet. She immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1956 and on to Los Angeles in 1958. Her son, Derek Cohen, was born shortly after in 1961. In 1971, she met the love of her life, Bob Massey, and they were married three years later. In 1979, Anna, Bob and Derek moved to Ventura, making it their home.
Anna was a long-term employee of Pacific Coast Court Reporters. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening in her backyard or at the beach. Even though Anna was plagued with asthma and rheumatoid arthritis for 30 years, she blessed the world with a bright outlook on life and a keen sense of humor. Anna was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a nurturing grandmother, a caring sister and a dear friend. She is survived through her husband Robert Massey, son Derek Cohen, granddaughters Hannah Cohen and Tianna Cohen, sister Margaret Murray (Oyama, B.C., Canada) and brother Frank Madden (Pickering, Ontario, Canada).
