Dorothy Watson, 79, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, August 20, 2004, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. James Hubbard and Rev. Howard Kitchens officiating. Interment will follow in Arbor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00, Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Mrs. Watson was born April 22, 1925 in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Reason H. and Edna Cody Whitley. She lived in Fitzgerald for several years from Atlanta. Mrs. Watson was an Avon sales lady and a former employee of Lowell Packing Company.
Mrs. Watson is survived by one daughter and one son: Ann Kitchens, Stockbridge, GA and Lamar Watson, Nashville, GA; seven grandchildren; five sisters and two brothers: Betty Cooley, Carolyn Johnson, Bobbie Brown and Johnny Whitley, all of Fitzgerald, Sara Craft and Bernice Helms, both of Abbeville and Ronnie Whitley, Tifton; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Watson, one granddaughter and two brothers.
