New Bedford – Alice C. Pacheco, of New Bedford, age 95, passed away on Monday July 8, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was born in Fairhaven, a daughter of Pauline (Grossie) and Manuel C. Pacheco. Alice lived all her life in this area. She worked as a Teller at Southeastern Bank and Trust. She was also a Foster Grandparent, Red Cross Nurses Aid for many years and was a Nanny for a few children
Her surviving family includes her 4 children: David Paul Pacheco of Pinella's Park, FL, Fred Steven Pacheco of S. Dartmouth, Patricia Medeiros of New Bedford and Elizabeth Belanger of Acushnet, as well as 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
Alice was predeceased by her daughters: Susan Joan Morris and Joyce Pacheco; her sisters: Helen Barros and Beatrice Pacheco.
In accordance with her wishes her funeral and burial were private. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford.
