Amelia V. “Millie“ (Vacca) Bertolami, 95 years, of Bourne, formerly of Brockton, died Wednesday morning at the Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility after a period of failing health. Born in Italy, she moved to Brockton at the age of two. She was raised in Brockton, daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Ferrigno) Vacca, she attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of Brockton High School. For many years she had been employed as a Fashion Designer at Sara Fredericks in Boston and Florida. After she retired she moved to Falmouth.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews
Millie was the wife of the late Dante “Danny” Bertolami and sister of the late Armando and Anthony Vacca, Fortuna Arioli, Flora Magliano, Ida DeSilvio and Helen Docchio
Her funeral will be held at 8am Friday from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton, followed by a funeral Mass at 9am in St. Edith Stein Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
